Homeopathy: Healthy Medicine
Homeopathy is safe, non toxic, non addictive, effective and treats patients as
unique individuals. It is safe for use during pregnancy, for babies, small
children, and the elderly. The remedies can be used alongside drugs prescribed
by your doctor without interfering with their beneficial action.
Homeopathy has
been in use for over 200 years. It is one of the two most widely used forms of
medicine in the world today. It is incorporated into the healthcare systems of
many countries including India, Brazil, Russia, Malaysia, and Cuba. Recently it
was integrated into the Swiss healthcare system following a national referendum
(2009). In Germany 30% of the population use homeopathy, and in France 1 in 4
prescriptions are for a homeopathic remedy. It is estimated that the NHS spends
£4 million on homeopathic treatments each year.
Homeopathy is coming under increasing attack by modern science. There are
several controlled trials in this country and abroad that clearly indicate that
homeopathic remedies can have a beneficial effect that cannot be explained by
the ‘placebo effect’. Details of many of these trials are available on a number
of websites including the Homeopathic
Research Institute, the Society of
Homeopaths, and CAMquest.
